This Design Contract (“Agreement”) is entered into between Dodeco (“Designer”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) and the Client for the provision of bespoke decorative design, mural, wallpaper, interior surface, and creative design services.
Project Scope
Dodeco agrees to provide the design services outlined in the approved quotation or proposal.
Before production begins, the Client will receive:
- Initial design consultation.
- Up to two (2) complimentary concept sketches or design revisions, where applicable.
- Material recommendations and project planning.
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required before any design or production work commences.
All artwork, concepts, and designs created by Dodeco remain original, bespoke, and created specifically for the Client. Dodeco retains ownership of all preliminary concepts and design files until full payment has been received.
Payments
A 30% non-refundable deposit is payable before work begins to secure the project booking and schedule.
The remaining balance is payable upon completion of the project or in accordance with the payment schedule outlined in the quotation or invoice.
Invoices are payable within the agreed payment terms.
Late payments may result in delays to project completion and may incur additional recovery costs where permitted by law.
Changes to Scope
Should the Client request changes beyond the agreed project scope, additional charges may apply.
Dodeco will provide written confirmation of any additional costs before proceeding with the requested work.
Changes to materials, dimensions, finishes, installation requirements, or design direction may also affect project timelines.
Confidentiality
During the course of the project, Dodeco may have access to confidential information relating to the Client, including but not limited to:
- Business information
- Marketing strategies
- Property details
- Interior layouts
- Commercial concepts
- Financial or project documentation
All confidential information will be treated with strict confidentiality and will not be disclosed to third parties unless required by law or with the Client’s written consent.
Dodeco reserves the right to photograph and showcase completed projects for its portfolio, website, social media, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing before the commencement of the project.
Client Approval
The Client will be provided with design concepts, samples, or visualisations (where applicable) for approval before production or installation begins.
Once written approval has been received, any subsequent design changes requested by the Client may incur additional charges and may affect the agreed completion schedule.
The Client is responsible for carefully reviewing all artwork, dimensions, colours, spelling, and design details before giving final approval.
Project Completion
Upon completion of the project, the Client should inspect the work and notify Dodeco of any concerns within 7 days.
Dodeco will be given the opportunity to inspect and rectify any genuine workmanship issues before any third-party contractor is engaged.
Cancellation & Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing written notice.
If the Client cancels the project:
- The 30% deposit remains non-refundable.
- The Client is responsible for payment of all completed work, purchased materials, custom orders, and any costs incurred up to the cancellation date.
If cancellation occurs after production, fabrication, or installation has commenced, the Client remains liable for the full project cost unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Dodeco reserves the right to terminate or postpone a project where circumstances beyond our control prevent safe or practical completion, including health and safety concerns, site conditions, supplier delays, or force majeure events.
Intellectual Property
All concepts, sketches, design files, visualisations, artwork, and creative materials remain the intellectual property of Dodeco until full payment has been received.
The Client receives the right to use the final completed design only after all outstanding payments have been settled.
Dodeco reserves the right to display completed work within its portfolio and marketing materials unless a separate confidentiality agreement has been agreed in writing.
Disclaimer
While every effort is made to accurately represent colours, textures, and finishes, slight variations may occur due to lighting conditions, natural materials, print processes, hand-crafted finishes, and manufacturing tolerances.
Dodeco cannot be held responsible for delays caused by supplier shortages, shipping delays, structural issues, adverse weather conditions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
By accepting the quotation or paying the required deposit, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Design Contract and Disclaimer terms.
